The first posting of a new project, thank you for visiting Wind Pines.

I will be using this space to share my notes from Kyoto: writings by myself and others on Japanese gardens, Zen, and Kyoto, as well as poetry, art, history, and more.

The goal of this project is to connect people from all around the world with this town that I’ve called home for the last 8 years. Whether you are planning a trip to visit, are already in town, have visited and are now back home, or would just like to see postings on Japan-related topics, this blog hopefully will be a useful space for you.
